August 13th--Vatikin at the Kotel, Shopping Day

This morning, our last full day in Israel, Zachary and Yehuda went to the Kotel at 5:30 this morning to Daven Vatikin. Yehuda still remembers going as a child and being struck by the quiet during shemonah esrei and the strength of everyone Davening together. He wanted to give Zachary that experience as well. The two of them really enjoyed both the experience as well as their special time together.
Next we let Zachary sleep for a few hours an then we went to Geula for some last minute shopping. Leora got a beautiful new siddur with her name on it and Yehuda and the boys plopped themselves right in the middle of the street...just because they could. The main street down Geula is INSANE and now it's closed off for construction, so they seized the moment. Next we headed to the mall for a last Pizza Hut dinner. Yum!
Then we were off to Yemin Moshe for a Kohn family photo shoot (photos to follow on the next blog post).
Then we tried to go for a last trip to the Old City, but there was absolutely no parking because of Hotzot HaYotzer. So, we headed home to pack to go back to the states...
