This morning we went to Geula and Mea Shearim to do all of our end of trip shopping (as sad as it is). Tzizit for the boys, gifts for the people Yehuda works with an Shabbat food were all part of this morning's accomplishments.
Then, with great excitement an anticipation, we picked up the kids from the camp bus. And...SUCCESS! They both had an amazing time filled with wonderful new and exciting experiences that they couldn't wait to share. It was beautiful to see the siblings reunite...we just know that the love may only last a few days, or even just a few hours.
Next we headed to Ben Yehuda to do some more shopping and to eat lunch. I think we found the cheapest pizza in all of Israel--20 shekel a pie! Then we headed home to throw in some laundry and to let the kids rest.
Now that we have our babysitter back, Yehuda and I went out to Hozot HaYotzer, the yearly Jerusalem Artist Festival. We walked all the way there (it is at Sultan's Pool) and were told that there were no more tickets. Well, we managed to get tickets and join the thousands of people. It was really fun. Although we only got there in time for the last few songs of the concert, and didn't know that artist, it was still great.
The food court was even better knowing that all of the booths and stands were kosher. The booths from all different countries around the world were very cool.
The walk home was beautiful and it was great to be alone with Yehuda How many miles did we walk today anyway?
