August 14th--Last Day in Israel, Arrival in Germany
It's hard to believe that today is our last day in Israel and that our whirlwind trip has come to an end. This morning we finished packing, paid our parking ticket at the post office, bought snacks for Germany and went to say our goodbyes at the kotel. It was completely surreal...when will we return? We travelled to the airport at around noon and stocked up on food. The Jewish mother in me was worried about the kids going hungry in Germany after being used to buying food at every corner store in Israel. So...we drank milkshakes in the airport and then we bought TONS of sandwiches, croissants, breads and spreads and soups at Aroma. Yum!Our flight to Germany was on Luftansa and the flight crew was AMAZING. Yes. You heard me, AMAZING! Leora threw away her retainer on her dinner tray and the crew sifted through ALL of the garbage multiple times to find it for her...and they did!! Kudos, because we thought it was lost forever and would never have even asked them to look!As soon as we got to the Sheraton, we crashed immediately.
