July 17th--Nachal Me'arot, Ceasarea, Horseback Riding

Today was another great day! After yesterday's exhausting day, the kids slept until almost 11:30 again...pretty crazy, right? We first set out north to Nachal Me'arot where they found caves with skeletons from pre-historic times (aka "cavemen" form the Homo Erectus period). It looked very cool and interesting and there was supposed to be an amazing audio-visual presentation in one of the caves but unfortunately that was out of order. The caves were still very "cool" (pun intended) anyway, and the kids were such troopers climbing tons of steep steps up the side of a mountain in extreme heat. The view was spectacular and well worth it.
From there we continued down the coast to Ceasarea (one of he most beautiful places in my opinion), walked around by the water and had a late lunch/ early dinner at Aresto, a wonderful dairy restaurant on the harbor. The views were magnificent.
Then we continued down the coast to the Cactus Ranch where we were going horseback riding on the beach at sunset. Unfortunately Benjamin was too small to ride so I had to stay back at the ranch with him. Leora, Zachary Joshua and Yehuda had a blast and said that it should be written down as an absolute highlight and "must do"! They said that riding through the water along the shore at sunset was beyond breathtaking!
Next we went back to Ra'anana, showered and were fast asleep before our heads even hit our pillows. Another whirlwind day...
